The upper tennis courts at Mills Pond Park are now OPENThe lower tennis courts & basketball courts at Mills Pond Park will remain closed until further notice, due to necessary repairs.

The Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 7:00pm in Room F at the Canton Community Center, 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton, Connecticut.   The meetings will be a hybrid format in that people will be able to view and participate in the public hearing remotely or in-person at the Canton Community Center. 

The purpose of the public hearings will be to take comments on the following:

1) The Board of Selectmen is seeking comments on a proposal to merge the Youth Service Bureau and the Parks & Recreation Commission into a single Town Agency.

2) The Board of Selectmen is seeking comments on a proposal to merge the Energy Committee, Conservation Commission, Temporary Sustainable Waste Management Committee, and the River Access Subcommittee into a single Town Agency.
